Pan-Fried Potato Fritters

Schupfnudeln
Typical of the southwestern part of Germany, these homemade finger-shaped potato noodles are most commonly sautéed until golden brown with onions, bacon and sauerkraut.
Servings:
Ingredients
  • 1 lb boiled potatoes
  • 1 lb all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • nutmeg
  • Salt
  • flour
  • 7 ounces butter
Instructions
  1. Combine mashed potatoes, flour and egg. Add a little nutmeg and salt. Mix to a firm paste and form into shapes the size of a finger.
  2. Roll potato fingers in flour and fry in butter until golden in color. Drain on kitchen paper and serve.
