Spezi Libre

Spezi Libre is a playful German twist on the classic Cuba Libre, swapping regular cola for Paulaner Spezi’s signature cola orange flavor. The result is bright, citrusy, fizzy, and a little more interesting than the usual rum and cola.

Rum gives the drink warmth and depth, while Spezi brings cola, orange, sweetness, and bubbles all in one pour. A squeeze of lime, or Limette, keeps everything sharp and refreshing.

It is an easy drink for parties, backyard grilling, casual dinners, game day spreads, or anyone who wants a German inspired cocktail with very little fuss.

Notes

Tips for the Best Spezi Libre

Use plenty of ice so the drink stays cold.
Fresh lime is important because it cuts through the sweetness.
Do not over stir or the Spezi will lose its bubbles.

Variations

Use dark rum for a deeper, more caramel like flavor.
Add orange garnish to highlight the citrus notes.
Make it lighter with less rum and more Spezi.
