The Hugo cocktail is a light, refreshing elderflower spritz made with elderflower syrup, sparkling wine, sparkling water, and plenty of ice. Bright, floral, and gently sweet, it is the kind of drink that belongs on a warm patio, at brunch, or anywhere summer is trying to behave itself.
This German and Alpine inspired version can be made three ways: as a classic Hugo cocktail with prosecco or Sekt, as a lighter Hugo spritzer with white wine and sparkling water, or as an alcohol free Hugo mocktail with elderflower syrup and mineral water. The result is fresh, simple, and wonderfully easy to customize.
If you enjoy floral summer drinks, spritz cocktails, or refreshing alcohol free beverages, this Hugo recipe is an easy favorite to keep ready for spring and summer entertaining.
