Connecticut drew many German immigrants in the 1800s, and today this east coast state has a unique Beer Trail. In 1850, over 10% of the population of Hartford, CT was German-born. There were so many German immigrants in the city that they even formed their own newspaper, Der Hartforder Stadt-Bote.
