Engels-Plätzchen
Small and flavorful, these cookies are an almond lover's delight, sure to become family favorites.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar 50g
- 5.3 oz plain marzipan 150g
- 1 small egg
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 1/4 cup ground almonds 50g
- 1/2 cup whole blanched almonds 100g
- 1 egg yolk for coating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 350° F.
- Combine powdered sugar, marzipan, egg yolk, flour and ground almonds until dough is smooth. Form little round balls.
- Cut the whole almonds in half, place three halves on each ball, and brush with egg yolk. Place balls on cookie sheet lined with baking parchment.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
