Bratwurst mit Bier
A German classic to pair with red cabbage and potatoes

Ingredients
- 2 each beer bratwurst
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp corn starch
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash lemon juice
- 1 dash sugar
- 2 tbsp water or beer for sauce
- 2 portions potato dumplings to serve on the side
- 2 portions red cabbage to serve on the side
Instructions
- Dip beer bratwurst briefly in boiling water then brown on both sides in butter. Remove sausage from the pan and dilute the bratwurst fat with a splash of water or beer. Thicken the broth by stirring in cold corn starch. Add salt, sugar, and lemon juice to taste. Let the bratwurst cook in the sauce for 5-7 minutes. Serve with potato dumplings and red cabbage.Â
