Hafer Schokoladen Brownies
American brownies, made with high quality, healthy German white oats and walnuts. The white oats provide great texture and mouth-feel.
Servings 18 brownies
- 7 ounces dark chocolate chips
- 9 ounces butter (18 tbsp)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- dash vanilla extract
- 5 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup Kölln White Oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt

Preheat oven to 300° F. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Cream the butter, sugar, 1 dash of vanilla extract with 4 tbsps. water until light. Add eggs and the chocolate chips.
Fold the chopped walnuts into the butter-sugar-mixture together with flour, Kölln White Oats, baking powder and salt.
Grease a 13 x 9 inch brownie pan. Evenly pour the dough into the pan and smooth it out. Bake for approx. 70 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Remove the pan from the oven and let cool for approx. 10 minutes.
