Grünkern Buletten
A plant-based burger patty ("Bulette") made from highly nutritious green spelt flour, sunflower seeds, oat flakes and a dash of curry.
Ingredients
- 100 g green spelt flour from Franconia
- 25 g sunflower seeds
- 50 g oat flakes
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tsp vegetable bouillon powder or paste
- 1 onion, small
- 1 tsp salt or use yeast extract
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 6 tbsp sunflower oil
Instructions
- Place green spelt flour, sunflower seeds, oat flakes, the finely chopped garlic clove and vegetable stock powder in to a pot. Fill pot with water just enough tp cover the dry ingredients and stir.
- Bring mixture to a boil, remove from heat and let rise for 10 minutes.
- Chop onions into small cubes and add to mixture along with the tomato paste. If there is still too much water left, heat the mixture and add a little more green spelt flour.
- Heat oil in pan. Form patties by hand and place into the the oil. Press with a spatula until flat. Brown on both sides for about 5-10 min.
- Serve with lemon yogurt sauce or on bun with tomato, lettuce and ketchup
