Riesige Garnelen in Honigsauce
These giant prawns covered in a savory and delectable honey sauce are a perfect meal by themselves, or as a side for a summer barbecue.

Ingredients
- 1 small piece ginger
- 3 tbs fresh lime juice
- salt
- 1 lb king prawns ready to cook
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 yellow or red bell pepper
- 1/2 lb snow peas 200g
- 1-2 red chili pepper
- 2 tbs vegetable oil
- 1 cup vegetable stock 250ml
- 2 tbs tomato puree
- 5 tbs summer flower honey
- 5 tbs soy sauce
- pepper freshly ground
- 1 tbs cornstarch
Instructions
- Peel and grate the ginger, combine with the lime juice and a pinch of salt. Mix with the washed and dried king prawn.
- Crush the garlic, wash and chop the peppers into little pieces, peel the snow peas, remove the seeds from the chili pepper and then chop into little pieces.
- Heat the vegetable oil over stove. Saute the garlic and chili pepper, add the peppers and king prawn and saute again. Add the snow peas.
- Pour the vegetable stock and tomato puree into the pan, stir in the honey and the soy sauce.
- Add salt and pepper to the sauce to your liking. Combine the cornstarch with a bit of water and add to the sauce.
- Served best over rice.
