Marzipan Almond Cookies

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar (50g)
  • 5.3 oz plain white marzipan  (150g)
  • 1 small egg
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 1/4 cup ground almonds (50g)
  • 1/2 cup whole blanched almonds (100g)
  • 1 egg yolk for coating


  • Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  • Combine powdered sugar, marzipan, egg, flour and ground almonds until dough is smooth.
  • Form little round balls. Cut almonds in half, place three halves on each ball, and brush with egg yolk.
  • Place balls on cookie sheet lined with baking parchment. 
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
