Sweet and tart cherry ice cream gets its flavor with tart cherry fruit preserves and cherry brandy, added to a creamy homemade ice cream base.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 16 oz fresh cream not ultra pasteurized
- 2-1/2 cups tart cherry fruit spread
- 1/4 cup cherry brandy

- Mix eggs, egg yolks, and sugar in a food processor at high speed for 10 minutes until frothy. Put into sufficiently large bowl.
- Whisk cream until almost stiff. Slowly add tart cherry fruit spread and cherry brandy to the cream. Carefully fold tart cherry cream mixture into the egg-sugar mix. Pour mix into a form and freeze for a minimum of 24 hours.
