Sweet and tart cherry ice cream gets its flavor with tart cherry fruit preserves and cherry brandy, added to a creamy homemade ice cream base.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 16 oz fresh cream not ultra pasteurized
- 2-1/2 cups tart cherry fruit spread
- 1/4 cup cherry brandy

Mix eggs, egg yolks, and sugar in a food processor at high speed for 10 minutes until frothy. Put into sufficiently large bowl.
Whisk cream until almost stiff. Slowly add tart cherry fruit spread and cherry brandy to the cream. Carefully fold tart cherry cream mixture into the egg-sugar mix. Pour mix into a form and freeze for a minimum of 24 hours.
