These are scrumptious almond flake and hazelnut cookies on dark chocolate. A homage to the city of Florence, these cookies probably originated in France and have become a staple in the German cookie repertoire. A German original, by famous cookie maker Griesson- De Beukelaer, based near Koblenz at the Rhine River.
