Tschunk

Tschunk is a cocktail made with Club Mate, a popular German caffeinated carbonated drink with mate-extract. Made popular in the "all-night gamer/hacker" scene in Berlin, Tschunk is prepared in the same way as Cuba Libre, but with Club Mate instead of cola. Crush limes and brown sugar in a tall glass, then fill with rum and Club Mate.

Ingredients

  • 1 half organic lime
  • 1 tsp brown sugar to taste
  • crushed ice
  • 1.5-2 oz rum (4-6 cl)
  • 7 oz Club Mate (20 cl)

Instructions

  • Cut half an organic lime into cubes.
  • Pour brown sugar into a tall cocktail glass.
  • Add the lime cubes to the glass and mash.
  • Add crushed ice.
  • Pour the rum over it.
  • Top up with Club Mate.
