Gnocchi with Little Meatballs
Gnocchi with pork meatballs in a simple tomato sauce. Kid-friendly recipe.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz ground pork
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoon rapeseed oil or canola oil
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 pound
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon mild paprika
  • salt and pepper
  • 1-2 packages ready-made gnocchi
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese

Instructions

  • Shape the ground pork into small meatballs.
  • Wash the tomatoes and cut them into dices. Peel and finely dice the onion. In a saucepan heat the rapeseed oil. Sauté the onions, add the diced tomatoes and sauté for about 4 minutes.
  • Add the canned tomatoes and the vegetable broth. Season to taste with oregano, paprika, pepper and salt. Let the sauce simmer 15 minutes over medium heat.
  • Add the pork meatballs and let everything simmer another 10 minutes.
  • Cook the gnocchi according to the instructions on the package, place them in a large serving bowl and serve with the meatball sauce and cheese.
